We’re all guilty of it: continuing to stitch away even when our hands are sore, our eyes are tired, and our posture has officially slumped. How do we protect ourselves from fiber arts-related injuries, respond to changes in our bodies and abilities, and keep enjoying the crafts we love for as long as possible?

Join Dr. Hillary Turner, occupational therapist and owner of Functional Link Occupational Therapy, to learn practical strategies for more comfortable and sustainable knitting and crochet. The first part of the seminar will cover ergonomics, posture, stretching, strengthening, fatigue management, and other best practices for healthy crafting. We’ll then open the floor for Q&A and individualized problem-solving around challenges such as arthritis, pain, vision changes, reduced strength or dexterity, and other barriers to participation.

Class will be capped at 10 students. Registration fees are non-refundable, store credit only if canceled with more than 48 hours notice.
